I've passed the intermedium level when I was junior 3.

But what the heck was the reason we prepared for that exam????

i am curious about that too.so i stop taking that test since i past the intermediate level.

i think TOEFL is more important.

So do I. Speaking is really the hardest test.

After all, there are few English-speaking surroundings to practice in Taiwan.:|

But I think speaking test is easier than the other.

I don't like to use pen or pencil to write down anything.

I think GEPT is so wasting money too....

If you failed two times you have to test one more times....

Don't think senior-high students will be able to pass the listening and speaking without lots of practice....

TOEFL is better than GEPT

Since you don't have to worry about failing

You know your level right away

Take IBT. A heck lot more useful.(GEPT isn't recognized outside Taiwan, and you still have to have an IBT score of over 103 to skip your English class)...

By the way, I passed, High level. Easy.

pass.....cuz all of my schoolmates took the test and my school really encouraged it

but still can understand why i took it and spend so much on it

recently, i just find out it's useless out of taiwan

p.s. i personally recommand TOEFL

cuz they not only score your performance but also give advice

once, my american english teacher in TW has told me, (not the exact words)

"I can't understand why all the students want to take GEPT. They don't tell you where you made a mistake and not even give you a single feedback. Beside, most of them cried after they found out that they didn't pass. It's like paying money for someone to break your heart. Maybe I should establish a english test like GEPT! such an easy money"
