I really don't like it when people refer to names or proper nouns written in Latin alphabets as "English". (well, that's off the topic.)

Well, I think thats forgivable considering many languages of Europe share almost every letter of the Latin alphabet. I bet the Europeans may probably confuse Chinese characters with Japanese kanji too.
