The Dog 10 發表於 February 2, 2005 檢舉 Share 發表於 February 2, 2005 越來越難是正常的單字越來越多越組越怪我們因為母語是用半象形文字除非經過多年長時間不間斷的訓練不然看那種字母語系的字實在吃力沒有辦法像中文一樣掃描速度輸人一大節有沒有發現那些歐洲或南美來的人進步神速?很多字在英文跟西班牙文,德文,義大利文根本就一模一樣他們一看就知道,雖然發音不依定正確,但也無傷大雅反觀我們,一堆字不懂根本連猜都無從猜起......而且因為他們母語根英文都是字母與系他們看字速度極快無比根本是我們無法比擬的我總覺得我們學英文是順吃甘蔗,越吃越難吃來國外,可能學了些口語,說話順了些,日常聽力沒問題但是英文不是只有這些啊越高深的英文越需要紙上作業,極多的單字跟閱讀速度如果只是到國外混個幾年,然後回台灣除了點個漢堡嚇嚇叫,講幾句溜溜唬唬人,講些沒人聽的懂得slang那我也真的會在內心暗自啜泣我很清楚中國人學英文的狀況我也看過很多在美國唸大學的台灣人程度恕我直言,有幾個人敢說自己英文真的一流?我在這只想勉勵各位我的同胞們不管是在國外還是國內的請各位奮發,精益求精,任重而道遠啊! 鏈接文章 分享到其他網站
Znoxwl 10 發表於 February 2, 2005 檢舉 Share 發表於 February 2, 2005 樓上的學長...當然我很贊成你的話，不過我覺得，大部分台灣人學英文就只是為了溝通，英文在國際上比較容易溝通....除了專門學英文的人以外，其他人如果能更求進步當然很好，但是我覺得學到能夠做適當的溝通對一般人來說也夠了。不過我也非常同意有些人蠻自以為的...去美國幾年回來就以為自己英文多了不起....這種人真應該多唸唸英文...XD 鏈接文章 分享到其他網站

浪仔 10 發表於 February 2, 2005 作者 檢舉 Share 發表於 February 2, 2005 最初由 The Dog 發表越來越難是正常的單字越來越多越組越怪我們因為母語是用半象形文字除非經過多年長時間不間斷的訓練不然看那種字母語系的字實在吃力沒有辦法像中文一樣掃描速度輸人一大節有沒有發現那些歐洲或南美.............(論壇訊息:引文過長 恕刪) 形容的非常貼切而且這也是我到目前為止的感覺我本身是交換學生這批團隊裡面有24個學生來自20個國家所以有相當客觀的觀察條件(我們有定期的聚會)來自歐洲的相較亞洲的進步速度是快沒錯我自己覺得再日常生活中的用語實在不繁複難學歐洲學生的英文在2~3個禮拜都能很進入狀況亞洲學生大概需要1~一個半月的時間不過真正的美語才剛剛起步再下來的程度不自己花功夫進步的速度就和你原屬的地方沒有太大的關係了那些slane嚇英文不好的人可以講 在寫作等方面完全沒有用所以一切還是靠自己的努力吧! 鏈接文章 分享到其他網站

My brother still has Taiwanese accent and he came to Australia at age 11. One year ago, I met someone who came here at 12. He's Chinese is GOOOOOOONE! ABSOLUTELY GOOOOONE! Difference? He went to a school with little to no Asian and his parents doesn't speak Chinese to him at home.As for my brother, well, his school didn't have much Asians either but we speak Chinese at home and secondly, my brother has a big sense of pride for being Taiwanese. For the first 3 years in Australia, he REFUSED to learn English properly. Anyways, I guess I'm just saying, environment makes a BIG difference.我也發覺我的中文也有點開始變了......Likewise. My cousin complained that I sometimes pronounce a few words wierdly, but no lasting harm. My Chinese generally doesn't have much accent (well, I presume since when I speak Chinese upon first meeting with someone, they assume I can't speak English properly o.0. The same with vice versa. ). However, I think it doesn't take people long to tell I was raised overseas because when I speak in Chinese, it doesn't take long for me to switch into English, and then back again. I don't do that as often in English (nearly never)I remember talking to my aunty in Taiwan once. That's when I realised that my Chinese is kind of going downhill. I mean, I pause every 1 minute because I can't find the correct expression to express something in Chinese. After an extra 10 seconds, I just use English - but then my aunty goes, "What does that mean?" and so I get stuck again, think VERY hard - and either I go, "AHA! I remember now!" or I try explain what I'm trying to say. *cries* Maybe I should go back to watching Taiwanese TV :'(我有個疑惑耶....會不會英文念久了....中文就會怪怪的??It works both ways actually. Sometimes, when I write English essays, random Chinese expressions pops into my head. The problem though is I can't find a suitable English expression that will do that Chinese expression justice. In the end, I come up with something VERY wierd. All through my education (and hey, I'm talking about being in Australia from kindergarten all the way till university), my English teachers always complain I have a tense problem (some of you may have noticed by now) and wierd expressions. Two guys, one came from Shanghai 6 years ago, another dude came here just one year after the Shanghainese guy migrated, and there's a huge difference between the levels of English of these two people. The Shanghainese one he was in advanced English, and his teacher recommended him to do Extensioin 2 English while the maths headteacher also recommended him to do Extension 2 maths at the end of year 11...( he's too intellingent...= ="")Another dude was like1 his maths was sh*t2 he was in the "shitest" class of ESLand he's already been enrolled by the aviation course of a private university......without UAI:| 鏈接文章 分享到其他網站

Anyways, there's nothing for him to brag about if he's entering a private university. Private universities in Australia don't get much recognition from the general public really. This reminds me of the time back in high school when they got some private universites to come talk to us. Basically, the deal was, "THINK ABOUT THIS OPTION." But like, as if! My school was a private girls school. We're DYING to get out of the private system because it's incredibly expensive! Our parents are WAITING for the day we get into uni because they don't want to stake 75,000 (wait - per term? Nah - can't be - 75,000 per semester - wait? Is that the fee for overseas student? I think that's the fee I saw for my cousin) bucks per term when they can do 2500 per semester (now it's 3000 due to Howard's VSU) - and these universities are double the amount! But...... well...... there's another situation I'd seen in the school.
