A nine-year-old boy who had been in a coma after the deadly crush at Travis Scott's Astroworld concert has died.

His death brings the tragic toll to 10 after the stampede at a concert in Houston when thousands of people surged forward to the stage.

Last week 22-year-old Bharti Shahani, a Texas A&M University computer science student also died late on Wednesday.

The latest victim, Ezra Blount, had fallen from his dad's shoulders and was trampled by the crowd.

He was placed in a medically induced coma as doctors battled to save him before his family said he died on Sunday.

His dad Treston Blount told ABC Ezra was a fan of Scott and was excited to be at the event.

He said: "He was so stoked. He was ready to go."

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner took to Twitter after the news was announced.

He said: "I am saddened to learn of Ezra’s death this evening. Our city tonight prays for his mom, dad, grandparents, other family members and classmates at this time.

"They will need all of our support in the months and years to come. May God give them strength. RIP Ezra."

It comes after lawyers representing more than 200 people claiming they were injured in the stampede said they are filing another 90 lawsuits against the promoters of the event.

Civil rights lawyer Ben Crump said at a news conference in Houston: "We represent more than 200 victims who were injured mentally, physically and psychologically at the Astroworld Festival."

At least 50 other lawsuits have been brought against producer Live Nation Entertainment Inc and Scott over the deaths and injuries related to the Astroworld Festival that was intended to signal the
resurgence of Scott's hometown.

Mr Crump, who was joined by about a half-dozen other lawyers, said any one of several concert officials could have prevented deaths and injuries by stopping the show and turning on the house lights
when the chaos in the crowd became apparent.

"Nobody should ever die from going to a concert,'' he said.

"So this lawsuit is not just about getting justice for them, but it's about making sure that the promoters and the organizers know that you cannot allow this to ever happen in the future.''
