No, here's the scoop.When a baby is born, the hospital is responsible for filling out the birthcertificate. Often parents haven't decided on a first name for their childwhen it is born. At this point, even though they aren't supposed to, manyhospitals put the sex of the baby down on the certificate.That would also explain the 3,639 boys named "Male" as well.
