GPA

AP

Dartmouth College

我的GPA3.8多

So I take it that you like science but don't want to go to a very major-specific college? Those three schools are great choices in that sense. You might also want to consider U Michigan, Duke, UC Berkeley, UCLA and Princeton (slightly tougher than the others).

Your SAT scores are great for a non-native speaker, and you seem to have decent credentials. From my perspective, you can reasonably expect to get into at least a few of the schools mentioned above.

College applications require as much luck as talent, especially for international students. So... best of luck!

thanks :)

so, I'm giving SAT another try in October, hoping to get higher scores, but as you mentioned that my being a non-native speaker, does SAT play very important role in admission process, or do colleges consider other criteria more?

what I mean is ,let's say my scores boom on my next SAT, does it aggrandizes my chances "greatly" getting into those schools? I'm not sure how much time to spend on studying for it.... I would love to do something more meaningful if i got spare time ><

Good luck!

If I were you, I'd spend more time worrying about essays/ recommendations and such.

I think the SAT scores are more like a prerequisite. I know a person who got into Harvard with a 2180 SAT, and a person who got rejected with a sweet 2400. That is to say, beyond a certain point (my guess is about 2000), other credentials become more significant. Of course, this is all my speculation because nobody really knows exactly the process works.

oh and btw, some schools (including Princeton, I believe) require 3 SAT subject tests. Might want to pay a little attention on things like that.
