金屬離子如何與蛋白質結合?是否有固定的結合位?以及蛋白質是如何辨識金屬離子?

重金屬中毒是因為取代原有離子或是其他原因造成?

well...

if you see a lot of protein structure, you will discover that metal ions often behave as cofactors

namely, they are associated (albeit loosely) with the protein.

For instance, the iron is associate with the heme though electronic interaction with four nitrogen atoms on the heme. Also, many other ions are positioned though interaction with residues. (For instance, if you have a basic residue like Arg or Lys, it might help to position positively charged ion.)

我有點懷疑是因為利用一些可以連接金屬的蛋白質的某一頭

利用化合或是電洞來連接～

well... some metal indeed can bind to groups specifically

for instance, As can bind to sulfur and mess up with active site containing Cys.

Hg ion also have such effect.
