We're not in the English board, JudicatorW :p

Anyways, how does it help him if you answer him in French? I have a feeling he's still a beginner.

藍天口琴人:

你有學過法文嗎? 還是想學?

如果想學先去買個入門書, 把基礎打好後在來看有沒有人可以跟你切戳切戳

Oh - sorry sorry. Didn't realise. Fair enough.

et, comprendez-vous français ?

Oui mais pas beaucoup.

I kind of forgot most of it. I learned French at school from year 3 to year 10. It's amazing how much you forget if you don't use it often. = =||| Thinking of picking it up again. Probably won't take long to relearn what I've learned already (so long my cousin doesn't lose my grammar summary that I made in year 10 - it also had German grammar in it too >_>)

外文書很貴的∼建議還是買本地出版的教科書吧,

根基靠這本如何的“懂英語就會說法語”(推薦,這本書寫的很簡潔又扎實)

辭彙和文法就參考如何的“法文文法快易通”和漢威“詳析實用法文文法”(兩本都很不錯)

後面這本書很厚,例子與單字很多,可以當作字彙書

一般來說,看完這三本文法和基礎閱讀就沒問題了

再來就是練習了

不過自學要考慮時間問題喔∼

Hmmmm.....it's just one extra form and one extra gender (neutral) to learn from memory. The grammar's even easier for girls who learned Latin since every single grammar of the European language is dealt there (well, almost every single grammar)

Oh...hmmm - I don't even know if it's really 7 years. My school offers French and German from Kindergarten to Year 7 compulsory. Of course, when new girls come in, they have to catch up real quick but by the looks of things, I don't think they really teach that intensively. More getting us to get used to it by reviewing many things again and again. Before high school, it's merely one language per term. ie. Term 1 will be French and Term 2 will be German so I guess progress wasn't that fast.

Year 8 onwards you can choose whether you want to continue or not. I think Chinese is also offered these days.

but it is hard to manage your time...self-learning

Well, my Japanese was self-taught (mostly) just by watching anime, drama and reading a lot of manga. My grammar for Japanese isn't very strong because I do it via instinct. If it sounds right, then I'll go with it. Only recently have I started learning the grammar properly but the names for the different rules confuses me. I rather they give me a few examples in sentences and have it done with rather than learning the formal name of each rules = =|||

網上也有學習網站

Personal edition is free by the looks of it.

le, la , les is important for every word in french....or when it come to tout and ending....have to remember that ....

yes, most of the time they omit the last ...s, t, and something like that? (for speaking)

and i recommend this website for anyone willing to give a try..

www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french

madame...

LATIN???? everytime i think of latin, i remember dante, which lead me to >> hell.....

on self-learning, is there a quickway to remember all those verb (starks)

chinese....i knew i need to work on my mandarin....

your school sound hella cool....they offered so many language!!! i wish my school is offering GERMAN, or some cool language (NO japanese for sure) other than spanish ,french and chinese...

one extra form? but when it come to the word....petrol pump = Die? little girl = Das?

Errr....not that I know of. Constant revision and application? I don't think there's any other way.

*shrug* I guess...maybe. (well, it seems to be one of the main reason why I was offered an internship. Not because of my school but because I described the special curriculum my school applies to teach students self-discipline and good time orgainsation which I'm not going to go into detail). Most school here offer Latin, French and Japanese. Technically, any language can be learned. The HSC (higher school certificate - similar to SAT in the States) offer up to 20 or 30 languages. So long you can find somewhere that teaches the course and provides you with assessments, then you can take it as a subject.

one extra form? but when it come to the word....petrol pump = Die? little girl = Das?

*shrug* Too bad I guess. I find it annoying enough to learn nouns with gender (since English doesn't have gender) but since I've already done it for French, why complain about it in German? One extra form as in one extra gender - the neutral gender. As oppose to only le and la in French, there's the Der, Die and Das form in German. Das being neutral. Generally, attaching objects with gender doesn't make any sense to me to begin with = =|||

french is easier than deutsch, i guess...only la le

I don't think it's just that. Due to the extra gender (Das), instead of just having nominative and denominative forms (if memory serves), German has an extra genetive form but really....I think it's only hard especially if you have rote learn everything. The girls who did Latin at my school find it a walk in the park because the stuff they need to learn in Latin is ten times wrose ^.^|||

Dans le français, il y a seule la et le, and they quite match to noun just by common sense...la biblio, et le langue as example..mais, dans l'allemand, trois gender!! and it doesnt make sense at alll!!!

vingt, trente langue pour exam??? dang!

i will stop talking about german in here, lets back to the topic of learning french....

(i dont want to get yell by admin)
