Violent crimes are on the rise. Compared with recent years, violent crime and murder rates across the country are certainly on the rise (and, more generally, crime tends to fall). The FBI should release its final data for 2020 in the autumn, although this year it has changed the way it collects violent crime data, making it difficult to compare them year by year.
