一些英文縮寫術語必須先知道:

Statistics in basketball are kept to evaluate a player or a team's performance.

統計數子用來評估一個球員或球隊的表現

Some statistics are

一些統計數字如下

GP, GS: games played, games started (出場數，先發場數)

PTS: points(得分)

+ / - : 在場上時隊得分與失分差距。

例如，在得分平手時上場，打一陣子下場時，球隊贏10分，

那麼 +10； 如果下場時輸10分，-10。

這是每次在場上的累計統計。

FGM, FGA, FG%: field goals made, attempted and percentage(投中次數，投籃次數，百分比)

FTM, FTA, FT%: free throws made, attempted and percentage(罰球命中次數，罰球次數，百分比)

3FGM, 3FGA, 3FG%: three-point field goals made, attempted and percentage(3分球命中次數，出手次數，百分比)

REB, OREB, DREB: rebounds, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds(籃板球，進攻，防守籃板球)

AST: assists(助攻)

STL: steals(抄截)

BLK: blocks(火鍋)

BA: (block against) 吃火鍋

BS: (blocked shots) 賞火鍋

TO: turnovers(失誤)

EFF: efficiency: NBA's efficiency rating: (PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK - FG missed - FT missed - TO)

NBA效率 = (得分+籃板+助攻+抄截+火鍋 - 投籃失手 - 罰球失手 - 失誤)

PF: personal fouls(個人犯規)

MIN: minutes(上場分鐘數)

AST/TO: assist to turnover ratio(助攻/失誤比率)

PER: Player Efficiency Rating: John Hollinger's Player Efficiency Rating(球員效率值)

PIR: Performance Index Rating: Euroleague's and Eurocup's Performance Index

Rating: (Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks + Fouls Drawn) - (Missed Field Goals + Missed Free Throws + Turnovers + Shots Rejected + Fouls Committed)

球員表現值(歐洲用) = (得分+籃板+抄截+火鍋+被犯規次數) -

(投籃未中次數+罰球未中+失誤+被火鍋次數+犯規次數)

power forward：大前鋒(又稱4號位置球員)

rookie：第一年球員，菜鳥球員

shooting guard：得分後衛

sixth man：第六人

small forward：小前鋒(又稱3號位置球員)

sophomore：第二年球員

starter：(指個人)先發球員

starting lineup：(指全體)先發球員

swingman：搖擺人(指兼能擔任得分後衛及小前鋒的球員)

trainer：球隊訓練員

two-guard：得分後衛

veteran：資深球員，老鳥

戰術篇

backdoor cut：從兩邊底線往籃下的戰術

block out：把對方球員擋住，使其不易強到籃球賽，卡位

cut：切入

double team：用兩位防守球員包夾進攻球員

dribble out the time：進攻方以運球方式消耗掉比賽所剩下時間

eat up the clock：進攻方以運球或傳球方式消耗掉比賽所剩下時間

fast break：快攻

foul strategy：犯規戰術

give and go：(進攻方持球球員的)傳切戰術

jockey for position：(籃下)卡位 [Note]：jockey乃耍花招也！

milk the time away：進攻方以運球或傳球方式消耗掉比賽所剩下時間

one-one-one defense：人盯人防守

pick and roll：(進攻方做掩護之球員的)擋切戰術

post-up play：(進攻方持球球員背對籃框)單吃對方防守球員之戰術

triple team：用三位防守球員包夾進攻球員

zone defense：區域防守，區域聯防

動作篇

(throw a) baseball pass：(快攻時)長傳

(shoot) an air ball：籃外空心球

behind-the-back dribble：背後運球

carrying the ball：翻球

cross-leg dribble：胯下運球

dribble：運球

driving to the hoop：帶球上籃

four-point play：投進3分球後因被犯規再罰進一分

hacking：打手犯規 [Note]：hack乃劈砍之意，可譯作「手刀」！

holding：拉手犯規

make the basket：投籃得分

make the hoop：投籃得分

monster dunk：狂猛灌籃

nothing but the net：空心球

palming：翻球 [Note]：palm有變戲法時藏於掌中之意！

reverse dunk：倒灌籃

reverse lay-up：反手上籃

shoot behind the arc：投三分球

score a basket：投籃得分

swish：空心球 [Note]：swish有嗖地一聲之意！

tap in：撥進，點進 [Note]：亦作tip-in。

three-point play：投進2分球後因被犯規再罰進一分

final：總決賽

first round：首輪比賽

GB (games behind)：落後戰績最領先球隊的勝場場數

guest team：客隊

home court：主場

home court advantage：主場優勢

home game：主場比賽

home team：主隊

losing streak：連敗場數，連敗紀錄 [Note]：streak有趨勢、脈絡之意！

post season：季後賽 [Note]：亦作off-season！

regular season：季賽

road game：客場比賽

schedule：賽程

semi-final：準決賽

standings：戰績

winning streak：連勝場數，連勝紀錄

規則篇

blocking foul：阻擋犯規

buzzer：(比賽用的)蜂鳴器(用於時間終了，換人等)

charging foul：(帶球)撞人犯規

dead ball：死球(停止比賽進行時段)

defensive basket interference：防守方干擾投籃得分

delay of game：阻礙比賽之正常進行

disqualification：犯滿離場(畢業)

double dribble：兩次運球

ejection：驅逐出場

expiration (of game, first half...)：(全場比賽，上半場…的比賽)時間終了

first half：上半場

first (second, third, fourth) period：比賽的第一(第二，第三，第四)節

five ticks left on the (game clock, shot clock…)：

(全場比賽，時限鐘上…的)時間只剩下5秒鐘 [Note]：tick乃時鐘的滴答聲是也！

flagrant foul：惡性犯規

foul：犯規

foul out：犯滿離場

foul trouble：快要犯滿離場

full timeout：全時(長的)暫停

goal tending：妨礙進籃得分

hand-checking：以手推擋對方進攻球員之犯規動作

held ball：持球(雙方均持球不放)

illegal defense：防守違例

illegal offense：進攻違例

isolation：四位進攻球員在一邊，而由第五位球員單吃對方防守球員

jump ball：爭球，跳球

loose ball foul：雙方均無持球權時的犯規(通常發生於雙方爭奪籃板球時)

offensive basket interference：進攻方干擾投籃得分

out of bound：球出界線 (千萬不要說outside)

overtime：加時賽，延長賽

referee：裁判

second half：下半場

shot clock violation：違反24秒內必須投籃(並且球必須觸及籃框)時限之規定

substitute：換人(上場、下場)

suspension：禁賽處罰

technical foul：技術犯規

ten-second violation：進攻方10秒鐘內未帶球過中場之違例

three-second violation：(籃下)3秒鐘之違例

throw a punch：出拳打架

throw in：發球入場

traveling：帶球走步 (千萬不要說walking)

twenty-second timeout：只有20秒鐘之短暫停

場地裝備篇

backboard：籃板

back court：後場

freethrow lane：罰球圈，禁區

freethrow line：罰球線

front court：前場

game clock：比賽用時鐘

halftime：中場休息時間

hoop：籃框，籃圈

mid-court：中場

net：籃網

painted area：罰球圈，禁區

restricted area near the basket：禁區內籃框下的小圓圈區域

rim：籃圈

scoring table：記錄(分)台

shot clock：24秒時鐘

three-point line：三分線

top of the circle：三分線頂端

wing：(左、右兩邊)底線區域
