請教一下-英文段考題

題目是這樣的：

There are obvious differences between children and adults.First, they differ in reacting to situations(31)______they see people with disabilities.

選項是：( A )which ( B )where ( C )that ( D )how

答案是：( B )where

我知道where後面是加主詞及動詞，但是為什麼不能用that，where可以，為什麼that卻不行，我覺得意思好像能通，可是又不知道文法到底哪裡有錯？

我自己有想過 如果是這樣的話是否可以，如下：

如果是改成the situation的話，是否可以用that？

請各位英文高明指點一下！

看了一下應該只是文意的問題

where代替的是in which吧

這邊which指的是stituations

因為後面沒有缺項

所以that不能當關代

然後同位語的話也不算是...

所以選where比較好嚕

我了解了，

其實事後我還是有問一下老師

老師說 which 和 that是一樣的

在關係子句裡能夠當主詞或受詞

但是如果接that或which的話 ，因為後面已經有主詞they了

所以不能接

而situation表的是在某事情的範圍、區域等

所以這是個滿特殊的用法 必須用where
