You're probably confused because in Chinese, both words are translated as "接受" or something along those lines.Accept is like saying "yes". For example,"My friend invited me to her party and I accepted the offer." which is also equivalent to "My friend invited me to her party and I said yes."To receive something is when someone is physically giving something to you. eg. I received a letter from my teacher.-------Swear and vow 有小小的不同不過, swear 也是罵髒話的意識eg.
