【Notice】 ★ 公告: 縮寫字索引表建立 09/12/07 ★

Recommended Posts

謝謝大家發表的意見~~

我們決定建立縮寫字索引表

請大家現在開始回文

把縮寫字的英文原文中文解釋和意思上來

Example:

lol = laugh out loud,

bitch, asshole

These count.

"jerk"

" Today is so friggin boring." or not...

These don't. For example, "Oh shoot!" doesn't count either.

I think you should put up a list of words this forum are objecting against.

The above definition doesn't make me anymore enlightened as to which words are appropriate. Also, please explain why you have defined those as appropriate or not.

To me, "frigging" is actually a made up, obscured version of the "f" word. The same goes for "shoot" being the obscured version of s***.

The other day, I think I was warned for using the word b-a-s-t-a-r-d and that, in my opinion is also consider amongst the same rank as "jerk". Also, how about b-l-o-o-d-y? In Britain, it's quite offensive but not so in most other English-speaking country (at least in Australia).

Also, how about "wanker"? That, I believe, is only used in Commonwealth countries (non-American English speaking countries)

Besides, the obvious "s" and "f" (and the "c" word for any degenerates thinking of using it) word, I don't see how others should be restricted. It's probably better if you make a general rule that noone should abuse any other forum members in any way possible - verbal or non-verbal (though most will be verbal here).

If, however, you still feel you need to make some restrictions, maybe you can just extend it to allowing people to use it only WHEN NECESSARY. If you don't have to use those words to express yourself, then by all means, don't. However, if you're using some of those words for "fun" factor, then I don't think people should be restricted for that.

Anyways, that's just my opinion.

P.S. "asshole" is spelt, and pronounced as "arsehole" in Australia (and England for that matter) :p Sorry, but I felt like adding a bit of trivia knowledge.

I am gay"

人家一定想歪

最後

"Bloody" 如果惡意使用的確算是髒話

我看到也會禁止

如果您覺得其他國家的特別髒話和不雅字眼必須禁止

請私下發PM給我

假如出現我一定糾正

絕無寬貸

:)

Above all else, no one should be using these words just for fun. It will offend other people.

I don't see any rules that allows board master to use Chinese.

I think there are some words which originally were used as swearing now are used differently, e.g. the hell, for ... sake, give a damn... etc. are now used as emphasis, and "bullshit" now used to show disagreement. They're vulgar, but they don't relly offend people.

It's just like 靠, 什麼鳥/鬼, 唬爛啦... I don't think these are really banned in other boards.

And what if someone use @$$, does that count?

How about frell, frak and gorram?

I wanted everyone to understand the rules, so I used Chinese.

We do not allow vulgar words either.

Yo Justin. I think it's safe to think that the board master/administrator/moderator is banning any form of swearing whatsoever. Basically, she wants everyone to pretend we're in Church as long as we're in this board. Fun eh?

Could you tell me what makes you think I'm 衝 so I can avoid it next time? That wasn't my purpose.( though making you think I'm cute isn't my purpose as well)

I'm not Christian, I never went to a Church before.xd

Figure of speech, mate, figure of speech. Imagine yourself in a room full of devoted Christians and old people and think what you would say in their presence. That's probably what you should be doing here. ><
